Beautiful traditional building - clean, spacious rooms - comfortable mattresses - very nice bathroom with bathtub - cosy communal kitchen with facilities to make coffee/espresso/tea... Highly recommended! Papigko is a wonderful place to stay in the mountains, and a good base for hikes in the area, e.g. through the Vikos Gorge, or like we did: to the 'Dragon Lake' (Drakolimni) and back (we did it in +/- 7 hours), via the Refuge.

The rooms at Guesthouse Ioannidis are like stepping into a cozy, traditional retreat. The views of Mount Astraka are breathtaking, making me feel like I was in a fairy tale. The antique furnishings add a touch of charm and character. Having a TV and fridge in the room was a convenient bonus. The bathrooms were clean and provided complimentary toiletries. I felt relaxed and at home during my stay.
Personally, I would have preferred a bathtub instead of just a shower. But hey, that's just me!

We had an amazing stay at Guesthouse Ioannidis! the village has a charming 19th-century ambiance, with alleys and old buildings to explore. the guesthouse itself has a lovely terrace adorned with beautiful flower pots, where we enjoyed our delicious breakfast. the owner is fluent in English and treated us with warmth and kindness. He even gave my husband a ride to the trailhead! the location is perfect for hiking enthusiasts, with several interesting walks nearby. We also appreciated the owner's restaurant recommendations. We can't wait to visit again!
Nothing we didn't like. 😊

The traditional building was beautiful and the rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were so comfortable that I had a great night's sleep. The bathroom was really nice too, with a bathtub for some relaxation. The communal kitchen was a cozy spot where I could make coffee or tea. The location in the mountains was perfect for exploring the area, especially for hikes like the one through the Vikos Gorge. highly recommended!
That the price seemed a bit high compared to similar places in the area. It would have been more reasonable for solo travelers like me.

We got great value for our money at Guesthouse Ioannidis. The room was cozy and had a beautiful traditional design. The location was perfect for us as enthusiastic hikers, with several interesting walks in the area. The staff, especially the owner, were friendly, kind, and always ready to help.
The breakfast offerings could have been improved by adding more variety.

I stayed at this lovely guesthouse for a few nights and it was a perfect escape. The peaceful village setting, cozy rooms, and stunning view of the Astraki mountains all made for a truly memorable stay. Vaselis and his sister were exceptional hosts, making us feel right at home.
